Spectators: 5797 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 143) Luisinho Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Azevedo in the 5th minute of play. Donato Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisinho Pinho having to interfere. If Donato Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luisinho Pinho came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by CA Juventus's Giuseppe Oliveira. But to his dismay, Giuseppe Oliveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luiz Guilherme Montenegro made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Hélio Monteiro sent off a good shot on target. Donato Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Luisinho Pinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CA Juventus. In the 27th minute Donato Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisinho Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giuseppe Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Luisinho Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Donato Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donato Azevedo in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luisinho Pinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luciano Eger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Luiz Guilherme Montenegro made a huge save. In the 41st minute, Donato Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luisinho Pinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After having played for 45 minutes, Gláuber Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CA Juventus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gláuber Prata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half CA Juventus were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luciano Eger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Giuseppe Oliveira hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. CA Juventus's Luiz Guilherme Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Paulo Vieira in the 56th minute of play. Donato Azevedo in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luisinho Pinho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gláuber Prata in the 63rd minute of play forced Manguinho's goalkeeper Luisinho Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Manguinho getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Dagoberto Maciel hit a great ball. Donato Azevedos short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Luisinho Pinho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donato Azevedo in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisinho Pinho saved Manguinho from getting behind. With his leg Luisinho Pinho managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when CA Juventus's Donato Azevedo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Manguinho getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Dagoberto Maciel hit a great ball. Donato Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Luisinho Pinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donato Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Donato Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donato Azevedo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Luisinho Pinho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
