The wind increased when Vito Mello made the kick off in the second half. Gilvan Secco made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Giovanni Pinheiro sent off a good shot on target. 61 minutes in the game, Vito Mello fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gilvan Secco having to interfere. If Giovanni Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Júlio Nogueira's late challenge caught a Letras FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giovanni Pinheiro got free with Gilvan Secco in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 97th minute, Vito Mello reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gilvan Secco. The goal made the score 0-1. Letras FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
