Maicon Donato hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Gilson de Amaral's late challenge caught a Veiarnodo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. In the 38th minute, Dalmo Schmidt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th match minute, Veiarnodo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dieguinho Damião to maneuver through the defense. Cléberson Penha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Cléberson Penha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osmar Ceresso was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When Olívio Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Veiarnodo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olívio Mineiro couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute, Dalmo Schmidt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
