Letras FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamim Marquez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. If Vito Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernandinho Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernandinho Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fernandinho Almeida hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After 34 played minutes AIK Scotland Lyonais got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Carlos Sousa. Benjamim Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AIK Scotland Lyonais's Benjamim Marquez got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Letras FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AIK Scotland Lyonais were winning 1-2.

After a rather tough play, AIK Scotland Lyonais's Benjamim Marquez got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 59th minute, Antônio Carlos Sousa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Willian Luz, passed just outside the right post. After having played for 84 minutes, Giovanni Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Letras FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giovanni Pinheiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giovanni Pinheiro in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernandão Macedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Giovanni Pinheiro came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Letras FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giovanni Pinheiro couldn't finish the play. Fernandão Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfredo de Godoi in the 90th minute of play. AIK Scotland Lyonais's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
