Mathias de Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrício Ferreira having to interfere. When Luizão Vaz fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Demônios de Serrana's protests and gave Luizão Vaz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Manaira booed when Demônios de Serrana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizão Vaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 8 minutes, Júlio Nogueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manaira and the Demônios de Serrana players grew even worse after the yellow card. Júlio Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Gilvan Secco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Andrade in the 10th minute of play. Chiquinho Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilvan Secco having to interfere. Manaira's Júlio Nogueira got his second yellow card of the match in the 14th minute. The referee ordered Júlio Nogueira off the ground. In the 15th match minute, Manaira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. The attack was good, but when Chiquinho Monteiro in the 16th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Chiquinho Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Natã de Sena put in a rough tackle. 23 minutes into the game, one of Manaira:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Chiquinho Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilvan Secco having to interfere. If Chiquinho Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th match minute, Manaira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Abreu to maneuver through the defense. Chiquinho Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gilvan Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilvan Secco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Correia in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Ismael Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Demônios de Serrana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ismael Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ismael Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Charles Abreu made the kick off in the second half. Ismael Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the game, Chiquinho Monteiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gilvan Secco. Chiquinho Monteiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. If Chiquinho Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Sílvio Luiz Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, Demônios de Serrana's Pedro Paulo Sá broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Demônios de Serrana's Chiquinho Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Ismael Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Demônios de Serrana's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilvan Secco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ismael Andrade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Gilvan Secco made a huge save. In the 78th minute, Chiquinho Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chiquinho Monteiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gilvan Secco came out and tried to block the shot, but Chiquinho Monteiro slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 80th minute. Ismael Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilvan Secco having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Chiquinho Monteiro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gilvan Secco, passed just outside the right post. After a rather tough play, Manaira's Mathias de Barros got a free kick in the 95th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Demônios de Serrana's Pedro Paulo Sá broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The Manaira fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Demônios de Serrana were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
