Spectators: 7088 (Terracing: 5409, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jaime Rosado started the match with the kick off. Kaká Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovânio de Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 12 played minutes, São Carlense's Kauã Gaspar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kaká Koehler came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in São Carlense reached it. Kaká Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. São Carlense's Geovânio de Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th minute Diego Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaká Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute of the match São Carlense got a corner. EC CANTAREIRA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Romário Almeida ran over to the corner to take the kick. São Carlense's Romário Almeida was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kaká Koehler in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Kaká Koehler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Amorim in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Rosado in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hermínio Simões prevented the ball from getting in the gole. EC CANTAREIRA's Paulinho da Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 1-1 became the score in the 72nd minute when Geovânio de Carvalho elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Geovânio de Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cássio Garcia hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, São Carlense's Kaká Koehler threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Diego Amorim, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovânio de Carvalho got free with Kaká Koehler in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Paulinho da Costa came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the EC CANTAREIRA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulinho da Costa couldn't finish the play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
