The audience was convinced that Elias Pontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruninho Miranda was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Bruninho Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Pontes in the 29th minute of play. Edgard Bastos hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Maicon de Alcântara might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Basílio Ferreira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maicon de Alcântara ran back to his position shaking his head. Maicon de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elias Pontes in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruninho Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jairo Paes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Basílio Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maicon de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, Filipe Vianna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Basílio Ferreira. Satanás EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filipe Vianna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Rony Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Betel Sporting Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
