The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiago Motta to strike the kick off in the second half. Aílton de Sena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Durval Soares went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Erik Linares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute, Durval Soares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Tiago Motta took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Cido Varela to make any attempt to save it. In the 78th minute Tiago Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cido Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute of the match Rodrigo MZC got a corner. Leonels FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andrézinho Ferreira ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Andrézinho Ferreira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Leonels FC's Cido Varela did a great save. Fausto Nogueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aílton de Sena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Diamantino Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diamantino Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Leonels FC booed when Rodrigo MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Fausto Nogueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Durval Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
