Leonels FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The attack was good, but when Elias Pontes in the 21st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Satanás EC's Elias Pontes in the 23rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Cido Varela was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Leonels FC through an amazing save. Elias Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Cido Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cido Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Pontes in the 27th minute of the match. Basílio Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Durval Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Durval Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Basílio Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durval Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Fausto Nogueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Basílio Ferreira made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Durval Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leonels FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Durval Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basílio Ferreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th minute, Jairo Paes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Satanás EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Leonels FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
