Aílton de Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the game, Diamantino Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rodrigo MZC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tapiraim the free kick. The supporters of Tapiraim booed when Rodrigo MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Luiz Guilherme Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tapiraim's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Guilherme Mineiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aílton de Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luiz Guilherme Mineiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Aílton de Sena made a huge save. In the 62nd minute of the match Marcus Mesquita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aílton de Sena skillfully saved the ball. Aílton de Sena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jardel Dias's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Severino Lira hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Tiago Motta fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Luiz Guilherme Mineiro struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Aílton de Sena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tapiraim. In the 84th minute, Luiz Guilherme Mineiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aílton de Sena was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The audience was convinced that Jardel Dias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aílton de Sena was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tapiraim had won after a very even match.
