José Vítor Castro struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Cido Varela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaboticabal Atletico. Agnaldo Bittencourt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Nogueira in the 12th minute of the match. Durval Soares might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Agnaldo Bittencourt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Durval Soares ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 21 minutes, Fausto Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leonels FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Nogueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Leonels FC's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Fontes came free, but Cido Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, José Vítor Castro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cido Varela. The goal made the score 1-0. After having played for 29 minutes, José Vítor Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaboticabal Atletico's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Vítor Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cido Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Santos in the 31st minute of play. Jorginho Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Leonels FC's Fausto Nogueira got a free kick in the 36th minute. Horácio Brancos short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Cido Varela to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. José Vítor Castro struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Cido Varela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaboticabal Atletico. In the 42nd minute of the match, Horácio Branco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cido Varela was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 48th play minutes Horácio Branco shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Cido Varela and just under the crossbar into goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Durval Soares to make the kick off. Leonels FC were furious when Simão Vinhas was red carded, 55 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Leonels FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! Edgar Gerber shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After having played for 65 minutes, Horácio Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaboticabal Atletico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horácio Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Faustão dos Santos hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Luís Guilherme Cerezo's late challenge caught a Jaboticabal Atletico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Guilherme Cerezo helped the player get up and apologised. After 74 played minutes Leonels FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Guilherme Cerezo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Vítor Castro in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cido Varela saved Leonels FC from getting behind. Fausto Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonels FC's Cido Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Castro in the 87th minute of play. Cido Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo de Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. José Vítor Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cido Varela having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Jaboticabal Atletico players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
