Felipe Rossi started the match with the kick off. Leonels FC's Durval Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 11 played minutes Leonels FC got a freekick which was hit by Jardel Fonseca. In the 16th minute Felipe Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cido Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateus de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval Soares in the 17th minute of play. Fausto Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 36 played minutes Leonels FC got a freekick which was hit by Felippe Tande. In the 37th minute Dráuzio Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cido Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cido Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráuzio Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Munduri were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Leonels FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Miguel Tavares took the corner. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Durval Soares was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Munduri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elivélton Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Durval Soares struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Mateus de Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leonels FC. If Felipe Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felipe Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cido Varela having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dráuzio Cosme got free with Cido Varela in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cido Varela made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Felipe Rossi sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Rossi in the 73rd minute of play forced Leonels FC's goalkeeper Cido Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Leonels FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Rossi came free, but Cido Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute Claudinei Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durval Soares in the 88th minute of play forced Munduri's goalkeeper Mateus de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Munduri's Elano da Silveira got a free kick in the 88th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Munduri's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Nogueira came free, but Mateus de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Leonels FC defense, Igor Pinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cido Varela. The Leonels FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cido Varela should have stopped the shot. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
