In the 6th match minute, Jaboticabal Atletico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorginho Viana to maneuver through the defense. Tapiraim's Luiz Guilherme Mineiro got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Tapiraim booed when Jaboticabal Atletico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fernando Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11thth minute of the game Jardel Dias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jaboticabal Atletico's Agnaldo Bittencourt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Agnaldo Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel Dias in the 13th minute of play. Jaboticabal Atletico's Horácio Branco got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Júnior Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Quadros having to interfere. Horácio Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severino Lira might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Agnaldo Bittencourt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severino Lira ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Jaboticabal Atletico's Luís Fernando Braga got a free kick in the 34th minute. Jardel Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agnaldo Bittencourt having to interfere. In the 41st minute Tapiraim were awarded a corner. Emílio Gerber went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Tapiraim's Rômulo Galvão getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 44 played minutes Tapiraim got a freekick which was hit by Natã Teles. Rodolfo Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Castro in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jardel Dias made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Vítor Castro in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodolfo Quadros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustavo de Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustavo de Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd minute, Jardel Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luiz Guilherme Mineiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Agnaldo Bittencourt made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jardel Dias in the 56th minute of play forced Jaboticabal Atletico's goalkeeper Agnaldo Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agnaldo Bittencourt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Mineiro in the 64th minute of the match. Jaboticabal Atletico's Agnaldo Bittencourt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Jaboticabal Atletico from getting a goal against them. Agnaldo Bittencourt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute, Luiz Guilherme Mineiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Tapiraim's goal looked a bit too open when Horácio Branco came free, but Rodolfo Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Guilherme Mineiro took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Agnaldo Bittencourt. Agnaldo Bittencourt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Leonel Couto charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonel Couto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th minute, one of Jaboticabal Atletico:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jaboticabal Atletico. Emílio Gerber placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Tapiraim's Luiz Guilherme Mineiro got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Haroldo Sá's late challenge caught a Jaboticabal Atletico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haroldo Sá helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tapiraim's Haroldo Sá got a free kick in the 96th minute. Tapiraim's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
