Maicon de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Fausto Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruninho Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei Cardoso in the 10th minute of the match. Bruninho Miranda made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Fausto Nogueira sent off a good shot on target. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Betel Sporting Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jardel Fonseca was slow to take the kick. During this time Leonels FC's players had a chance to rest. Leonels FC's Jardel Fonseca was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bruninho Miranda in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rony Bittencourt took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cido Varela. Cido Varela dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Fausto Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maicon de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Cido Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cido Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rony Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narciso Fantini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Betel Sporting Club's Bruninho Miranda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Betel Sporting Club from getting a goal against them. Bruninho Miranda made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Fausto Nogueira sent off a good shot on target. Bruninho Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Durval Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Betel Sporting Club were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Durval Soares made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Betel Sporting Club's zone, Durval Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruninho Miranda came out of the goal and Durval Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Durval Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Bruninho Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cido Varela didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 57th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Betel Sporting Club's zone, Fausto Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruninho Miranda came out of the goal and Fausto Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruninho Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durval Soares in the 64th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Maicon de Alcântara notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Leonels FC's Cido Varela. Cido Varela was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 74th match minute, Leonels FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Guilherme Cerezo to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Leonels FC's Cido Varela got control of the ball when Maicon de Alcântara tried to sneak it across the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Maicon de Alcântara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cido Varela. Maicon de Alcântara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Norberto Romero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cido Varela. Leonels FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Leonels FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Claudinei Cardoso hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Bittencourt in the 96th minute of play forced Leonels FC's goalkeeper Cido Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Betel Sporting Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
