Adalberto Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kiko Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Murillo Severo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adalberto Rosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Belmiro Viana was the one to do the kick off. Duda Ceresso's late challenge caught a G.F. Baruerinthians's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duda Ceresso helped the player get up and apologised. Hermínio Soeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Afonso Negri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adalberto Rosa came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by G.F. Baruerinthians's Kiko Galvão. But to his dismay, Kiko Galvão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 62 played minutes G.F. Baruerinthians got a freekick which was hit by Ramón Madureira. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Kiko Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot. G.F. Baruerinthians's supporters rose to their feet, but Kiko Galvão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adalberto Rosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Murillo Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Simão Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Rosa having to interfere. Adalberto Rosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murillo Severo in the 89th minute of play.
