The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vivaldo Domingues during the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Leonel Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Toboco FC - FSCMZ booed when LoKoMoTiVa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Leonel Paes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Natanael da Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Toboco FC - FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LoKoMoTiVa the free kick. The supporters of LoKoMoTiVa booed when Toboco FC - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natanael da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vivaldo Domingues was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 19 played minutes LoKoMoTiVa got a freekick which was hit by Gino Guedes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Cavalcante in the 24th minute of play forced LoKoMoTiVa 's goalkeeper Álvaro Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to LoKoMoTiVa getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Gino Guedes hit a great ball. Álvaro Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Paes in the 26th minute of play. Álvaro Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Paes in the 28th minute of the match. Leonel Paes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th match minute, LoKoMoTiVa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Prado to maneuver through the defense. When Toboco FC - FSCMZ's Leonel Paes in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye LoKoMoTiVa 's goalie prevented a goal. Álvaro Azevedo came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Toboco FC - FSCMZ's Leonel Paes. But to his dismay, Leonel Paes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitinho Fontes in the 48th minute of play forced LoKoMoTiVa 's goalkeeper Álvaro Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Álvaro Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Paes in the 52nd minute of play. If Allan Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. LoKoMoTiVa 's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Leonel Paes scored to the left of an out of position Álvaro Azevedo, making the score, 0-2. After 69 played minutes LoKoMoTiVa got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Nascimento. Leonel Paes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 83 minutes into the game, Leonel Paes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Álvaro Azevedo. Leonel Paes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. If Allan Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Paes in the 89th minute of play forced LoKoMoTiVa 's goalkeeper Álvaro Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The LoKoMoTiVa supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Toboco FC - FSCMZ's performance. The match ended with a win for Toboco FC - FSCMZ.
