Olívio Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renatinho Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Corinthians2012's Antônio Carlos de Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Corinthians2012 from getting a goal against them. After 19 minutes of play, Corinthians2012's Eliseu Reis made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olívio Vergílio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rd minute, Augusto Toledo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flamengo RJ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Renatinho Moura was the one to do the kick off. Antônio Carlos de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Augusto Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benedito Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Benedito Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Antônio Carlos de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Flamengo RJ's goal looked a bit too open when Renatinho Moura came free, but Olívio Vergílio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, one of Flamengo RJ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 71st minute there was a penalty for Corinthians2012. Rubinho Leite stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Olívio Vergílio. 3-2. After 74 minutes of play, Flamengo RJ's Augusto Toledo made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antônio Carlos de Lara was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carlos Augusto Breckenfeld recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 79 played minutes Corinthians2012 got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Britto. Augusto Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Carlos de Lara having to interfere. In the 83rd match minute, Flamengo RJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eurico Paulista to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Flamengo RJ fully deserved thier win.
