The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fernan Ralondo made a fantastic save in the 2nd minute, when Cido Silveira sent off a good shot on target. In the 4th minute, Cido Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 10th minute, Bernard Bojanowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tião Santos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Tuiuti getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Gualter Cardozo hit a great ball. Bernard Bojanowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Cido Silveira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fernan Ralondo. The goal made the score 1-1. Wilton Leão might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernan Ralondo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilton Leão ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd minute, Roberto de Sena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Granito RS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After a rather tough play, Granito RS's Raúl Abraão got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Fernan Ralondo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wágner Ferraz in the 33rd minute. Fernan Ralondo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cido Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Granito RS's goal looked a bit too open when Wilton Leão came free, but Fernan Ralondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Wágner Ferraz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Fernan Ralondo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 47 minutes, Manuel Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Granito RS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Toscano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Renan Sampaio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernan Ralondo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Granito RS's goal looked a bit too open when Wágner Ferraz came free, but Fernan Ralondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Roberto de Sena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tião Santos was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. The supporters of Tuiuti booed when Granito RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edinho Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Granito RS's Fernan Ralondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cido Silveira in the 76th minute of play. When Manuel Toscano fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Granito RS's protests and gave Manuel Toscano a yellow card for diving instead. Manuel Toscano hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Fernan Ralondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilton Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cido Silveira in the 81st minute of play forced Granito RS's goalkeeper Fernan Ralondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the game, Wilton Leão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tuiuti had won after a very even match.
