After 17 minutes, Christian de Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Variante and the Caiubi SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute, Christian de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caiubi SS's Jacinto Xavier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Caiubi SS from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the match, Oscar do Valle notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Caiubi SS's Jacinto Xavier. Jacinto Xavier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edinho Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Ferraz having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Dráuzio de Amorim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caiubi SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Cléber Ferraz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edinho Neves went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edinho Neves to make the kick off. Cléber Ferraz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edinho Neves in the 55th minute. The referee ignored Caiubi SS's protests and gave Ulisses Souza a yellow card for diving instead. After 96 minutes, Tiago Gabriel Albuquerque mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Variante and the Caiubi SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Caiubi SS booed when Variante was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Gabriel Albuquerque didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Variante fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Caiubi SS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
