Spectators: 6660 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Delfim Pitta started the match with the kick off. The audience was convinced that Augusto Toledo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dário Moura was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Dário Moura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Augusto Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute, Christiano de Andrade fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Olívio Vergílio, passed just outside the right post. In the 10th minute of the match Clemente Carioca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olívio Vergílio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Cabaca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Toledo came free, but Dário Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flamengo RJ's Augusto Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dário Moura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augusto Toledo's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. If Benedito Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th minute of the match, Delfim Pitta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Olívio Vergílio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Augusto Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Dário Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28thth minute of the game Augusto Toledo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cabaca FC's Dário Moura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cabaca FC's Dário Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Brasil in the 31st minute of play. Flamengo RJ's Benedito Brasil got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Benedito Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 41 minutes into the match, Flamengo RJ's Augusto Toledo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dário Moura narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Delfim Pitta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olívio Vergílio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Dário Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Brasil in the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augusto Toledo was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Toledo got free with Dário Moura in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Flamengo RJ defense, Christiano de Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olívio Vergílio. The Flamengo RJ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olívio Vergílio should have stopped the shot. In the 58thth minute of the game Augusto Toledo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cabaca FC's Dário Moura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 63 played minutes Cabaca FC got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Carioca. When Augusto Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Flamengo RJ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Toledo couldn't finish the play. Benedito Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Moura having to interfere. Olívio Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cabaca FC's zone, Benedito Brasil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dário Moura came out of the goal and Benedito Brasil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Toledo in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dário Moura saved Cabaca FC from getting behind. Flamengo RJ's Olívio Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardinho Paes in the 75th minute of play. Benedito Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Cabaca FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
