After having played for 18 minutes, Diamantino Munhoz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deu Ruim Guarulhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diamantino Munhoz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacinto Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Caiubi SS's goalkeeper Jacinto Xavier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Pedro Travassos. Felippe de Sousa scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuel Marinho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Diamantino Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Deu Ruim Guarulhos's Diamantino Munhoz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After 54 minutes, Edinho Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caiubi SS and the Deu Ruim Guarulhos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edinho Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Agostinho Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Marinho having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, Diamantino Munhoz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jacinto Xavier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Diamantino Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 68 played minutes Caiubi SS got a freekick which was hit by Tião Fontes. 71 minutes into the game, Felippe de Sousa lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Samuel Marinho. After a defensive mix-up in Caiubi SS's zone, Zé Pedro Travassos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Xavier came out of the goal and Zé Pedro Travassos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Munhoz in the 82nd minute of play forced Caiubi SS's goalkeeper Jacinto Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Caiubi SS's Agostinho Macedo got a free kick in the 86th minute. Diamantino Munhoz struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Jacinto Xavier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deu Ruim Guarulhos. Caiubi SS's Jacinto Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Munhoz in the 91st minute of play. If Kiko Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Deu Ruim Guarulhos players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
