Spectators: 7199 (Terracing: 5401, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) Felippe de Sousa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After having played for 4 minutes, Ulisses Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caiubi SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulisses Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Caiubi SS's goalkeeper Jacinto Xavier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robinho Barral. In the 10th minute Edson Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robinho Barral came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jacinto Xavier could save by the left post. After 16 minutes, Ulisses Souza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caiubi SS and the Granito RS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Caiubi SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulisses Souza to maneuver through the defense. Jacinto Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz Britto, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Robinho Barral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Jacinto Xavier made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felippe de Sousa in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernard Bojanowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacinto Xavier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raúl Abraão in the 31st minute of the match. Robinho Barral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Jacinto Xavier made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Granito RS's Edson Cardozo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jacinto Xavier. That made the score 1-0 after 36 minutes of play. When Ulisses Souza was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 39 minutes had been played. In the 39th match minute, Caiubi SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulisses Souza to maneuver through the defense. Caiubi SS's Agostinho Macedo got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson Cardozo in the 44th minute of play forced Caiubi SS's goalkeeper Jacinto Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caiubi SS's Jacinto Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Abraão in the 46th minute of play.

The wind increased when Raúl Abraão made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Granito RS's Robinho Barral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacinto Xavier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 57 minutes into the match, Caiubi SS's goal looked a bit too open when Robinho Barral came free, but Jacinto Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olívio Nunes scored 3-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacinto Xavier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Edinho Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacinto Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raúl Abraão, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Granito RS's zone, Edinho Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernard Bojanowski came out of the goal and Edinho Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the game, Edinho Neves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Bernard Bojanowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Edinho Neves came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Caiubi SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edinho Neves couldn't finish the play. Edinho Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Agostinho Macedo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bernard Bojanowski. That made the score 4-2 in the 92 minute of play. Granito RS's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
