Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) Fidelo's Márcio Lucas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Márcio Lucas succeeded in the game's 3rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Miguel Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Educandos's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Hoffmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osmar Marinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wanderson Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18thth minute of the game Márcio Lucas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Educandos's Fernando Paiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Osmar Marinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Guimarães in the 23rd minute. If Márcio Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wanderson Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Márcio Lucas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Paiva was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Miguel Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Hoffmann in the 39th minute of play forced Fidelo's goalkeeper Osmar Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Oscar Guimarães ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osmar Marinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Oscar Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Osmar Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

If Márcio Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute Miguel Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osmar Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Márcio Lucas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Paiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When Pedro de Lara fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fidelo's protests and gave Pedro de Lara a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, Pedro de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 68 minutes, Geovani Breckenfeld mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fidelo and the Educandos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Fidelo's Geovani Breckenfeld got a free kick in the 68th minute. When Ulisses Meira fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Educandos's protests and gave Ulisses Meira a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Educandos getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Ulisses Meira hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Lucas in the 75th minute of play forced Educandos's goalkeeper Fernando Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Educandos's zone, Wanderson Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Paiva came out of the goal and Wanderson Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the match, Fidelo's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Hoffmann came free, but Osmar Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wanderson Nogueira got free with Fernando Paiva in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wanderson Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Paiva having to interfere. After 89 minutes, Ramiro Souza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fidelo and the Educandos players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Fidelo getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ramiro Souza hit a great ball. Claudinei da Silveira, 90 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Miguel Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar Marinho having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Guimarães in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osmar Marinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fidelo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
