DeLucena F.C.'s Jorge Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafim Porto in the 4th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Duarte Lago kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jorge Corrêa. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Jardel Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Célio Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jardel Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jardel Branco scored 2-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Célio Simão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the game, Wellington Velasco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DeLucena F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sabiuca the free kick. After a rather tough play, DeLucena F.C.'s Wellington Velasco got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Luiz Paulo de Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Jorge Corrêa made a huge save. With a little luck, DeLucena F.C.'s Jorge Corrêa got control of the ball when Luiz Paulo de Alcântara tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Sabiuca's Duarte Lago slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jorge Corrêa. That made the score 3-1 after 32 minutes of play. After 36 minutes, Emílio da Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sabiuca and the DeLucena F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th minute, Emílio da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st match minute, Sabiuca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Víktor Sergipano to maneuver through the defense. Ismael Martins hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After having played for 44 minutes, Luiz Paulo de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sabiuca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Paulo de Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sabiuca's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anderson da Costa was slow to take the kick. During this time DeLucena F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on DeLucena F.C.'s corner Jardel Branco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Célio Simão quite easily take care of the ball. Jardel Branco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Célio Simão made a huge save. Emílio da Costa took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge Corrêa. Jorge Corrêa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Jorge Corrêa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emílio da Costa in the 64th minute of the match. Jardel Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Célio Simão having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Paulo de Alcântara in the 71st minute of play forced DeLucena F.C.'s goalkeeper Jorge Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd match minute, DeLucena F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo de Amaral to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Ismael Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Luiz Paulo de Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Sabiuca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Paulo de Alcântara couldn't finish the play. Jorge Corrêa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Paulo de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Jardel Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Corrêa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sabiuca. Jorge Corrêa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafim Porto in the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Sabiuca players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
