Osmar Marinho made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Tião Pombal sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th minute, Fidelo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tião Pombal fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wanderson Nogueira in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diamantino Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diamantino Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wanderson Nogueira's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Diamantino Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wanderson Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Horácio Custódio hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When Wanderson Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Fidelo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wanderson Nogueira couldn't finish the play. Wanderson Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Diamantino Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. GladiadoresFC's Diamantino Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Souza in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Lucas in the 32nd minute of play forced GladiadoresFC's goalkeeper Diamantino Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Marcelinho Vergílio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fidelo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GladiadoresFC the free kick. Marcelinho Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Márcio Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Carvalho having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in GladiadoresFC's zone, Wanderson Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diamantino Carvalho came out of the goal and Wanderson Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wanderson Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Márcio Lucas made a kick off. Tião Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Osmar Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind GladiadoresFC's goalkeeper Diamantino Carvalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wanderson Nogueira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Diamantino Carvalho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Válbson Leite's late challenge caught a Fidelo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Válbson Leite helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to GladiadoresFC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Válbson Leite hit a great ball. With a little luck, GladiadoresFC's Diamantino Carvalho got control of the ball when Wanderson Nogueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, GladiadoresFC's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Lucas came free, but Diamantino Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to GladiadoresFC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Horácio Custódio hit a great ball. Diamantino Carvalho made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Wanderson Nogueira sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind GladiadoresFC's goalkeeper Diamantino Carvalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wanderson Nogueira in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Diamantino Carvalho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Tião Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot. GladiadoresFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tião Pombal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osmar Marinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute, Tião Pombal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wanderson Nogueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diamantino Carvalho having to make a save. Tião Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar Marinho having to interfere. GladiadoresFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Fidelo for a fine match.
