Spectators: 6665 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Miguel Hoffmann took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7th minute, Eusébio Favoretto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vânderson Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the game, Chocolatal's Dudu Quintal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Paiva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some careless play in the Educandos defense, Vânderson Braga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Paiva. The Educandos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Paiva should have stopped the shot. After having played for 24 minutes, Dudu Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chocolatal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dudu Quintal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vânderson Braga in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernando Paiva saved Educandos from getting behind. Chocolatal's Marcelinho do Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Chocolatal from getting a goal against them. Miguel Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Marcelinho do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Paiva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vânderson Braga's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Vânderson Braga scored 0-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Paiva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Oscar Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 43 minutes, Vânderson Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chocolatal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vânderson Braga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dudu Quintal took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernando Paiva. Fernando Paiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4.

Oscar Guimarães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chocolatal's goalkeeper Marcelinho do Valle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vânderson Braga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Vânderson Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vânderson Braga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Paiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Rômulo do Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rômulo do Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rômulo do Vale hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The Chocolatal players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
