In the 17thth minute of the game Zé Pedro Saraiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Qra TOMATE's Arnaldo Romero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnaldo Romero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Pedro Saraiva's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Maurinho Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flávio Madureira in the 20th minute of the match. Arnaldo Romero was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jefferson Munhoz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 21 minute of play. After 26 minutes, Alessandro Capixaba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aquino Futebol Clube and the Qra TOMATE players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Aquino Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Alessandro Capixaba hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flávio Madureira in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurinho Magalhães saved Aquino Futebol Clube from getting behind. Arnaldo Romero made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Victor Santana sent off a good shot on target. Donato Cearense hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After 37 minutes, Pedrinho Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Qra TOMATE and the Aquino Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th minute, one of Qra TOMATE:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Qra TOMATE. Wesley Dracena shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 41 minutes into the game, Anísio Pontes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Qra TOMATE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aquino Futebol Clube the free kick. In the 41st match minute, Qra TOMATE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anísio Pontes to maneuver through the defense. Gugu Aparecido got a throw-in 47 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Victor Santana. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

In the 55th minute, Carlinhos Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flávio Madureira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Maurinho Magalhães when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aquino Futebol Clube's Maurinho Magalhães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Aquino Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. In the 67th match minute, Aquino Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Capixaba to maneuver through the defense. Leopoldo Sarmento took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maurinho Magalhães. When Qra TOMATE's Flávio Madureira in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Maicon Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Arnaldo Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Zé Pedro Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Flávio Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurinho Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maurinho Magalhães made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Flávio Madureira sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Aquino Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Zé Pedro Saraiva hit a great ball. Zé Pedro Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Romero having to interfere.
