In the 13thth minute of the game Artur Fernandez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santos Madrid FC's Cícero Lucas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 14 minutes into the game, one of Santos Madrid FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With his leg Davi Quirino managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Santos Madrid FC's Jairo de Brito fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 28th minute, Gilmar Tróia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cícero Lucas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. If Tarcisio Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th match minute, Santos Madrid FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Róbson Vieira to maneuver through the defense. Tarcisio Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilmar Tróia was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Santos Madrid FC booed when Trovão MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarcisio Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Trovão MZC's zone, Dráuzio Diniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Davi Quirino came out of the goal and Dráuzio Diniz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gilmar Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trovão MZC's Davi Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Diniz in the 74th minute of play. When Arí Salles fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trovão MZC's protests and gave Arí Salles a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Trovão MZC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Arí Salles hit a great ball. If Dráuzio Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enio Meira hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Santos Madrid FC's Cícero Lucas got control of the ball when Marcelo Pena tried to sneak it across the goal line. Davi Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo de Brito in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Trovão MZC's Artur Fernandez got a free kick in the 85th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Trovão MZC's zone, Jairo de Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Davi Quirino came out of the goal and Jairo de Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88thth minute of the game Jairo de Brito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trovão MZC's Davi Quirino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 90th minute, Gilmar Tróia made a precise shot to the right of Cícero Lucas. Santos Madrid FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The Trovão MZC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
