With an all-out effort, Acudinho's Fábio Teles threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Renan Cordeiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 13 minutes, Edgar Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ipucaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Edmílson Freitas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Acudinho's Hamílton de Alcântara. Hamílton de Alcântara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 19 played minutes Acudinho got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Renato Pimenta. When Ipucaba's Marcelo Andrade, in the 20th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Ipucaba. Hamílton de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Moura in the 24th minute of the match. Yuri de Castro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Fábio Teles made a huge save. In the 27th minute, Acudinho's Renan Cordeiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fábio Teles. Fábio Teles yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Ipucaba's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Renan Cordeiro scored to the left of an out of position Fábio Teles, making the score, 2-1. Marcelo Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 48 played minutes Ipucaba got a freekick which was hit by Belmiro Pernambucano.

Fábio Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renan Cordeiro in the 56th minute of the match. Fábio Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renan Cordeiro in the 59th minute of play. A hard shot 60 in the game by Edgar Moura from a close distance when the talented Hamílton de Alcântara managed to make a qualified save. Acudinho's players were relieved. Fábio Teles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 96th minute Yuri de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ipucaba's Edgar Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
