The audience thought a goal was coming when Felippe Sanches got free with Cléber Duarte in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute Váldson Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléber Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Felippe Sanches managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pesca Esportiva Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Felippe Sanches was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cléber Duarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Váldson Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Duarte having to interfere. In the 41st minute Váldson Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléber Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jaime Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Célio Cerezo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgard de Sena to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Váldson Paulista in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cléber Duarte saved Muirapinima FC from getting behind. With a little luck, Pesca Esportiva Clube's Flavinho de Barros got control of the ball when Cleiton Galvão tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58th minute, Jaime Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felippe Sanches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Cléber Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Váldson Paulista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cléber Duarte was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. After 72 minutes, Arlindo Pirani made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Muirapinima FC's Cléber Duarte tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Arlindo Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Duarte having to interfere. Cléber Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felippe Sanches, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute of the match Renan Porto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cléber Duarte showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Muirapinima FC's Zeca Fonseca got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Felippe Sanches recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute Váldson Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléber Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Váldson Paulista put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Cléber Duarte. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pesca Esportiva Clube had played much better football throughout.
