Róbson Gomes helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of LURAFA booed when SC CORINTHIANS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Róbson Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute of the match Angelo Barral sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alan França skillfully saved the ball. Zé Roberto Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zé Roberto Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes in the game, Simão Fantini fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dinei Sabóia having to interfere. Simão Fantini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dinei Sabóia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. If Zé Roberto Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 minutes, Agnaldo Fontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC CORINTHIANS and the LURAFA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dieguinho Ramos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Dieguinho Ramos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sandro de Brito hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the game, LURAFA's Zé Roberto Nóbrega nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dinei Sabóia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 63rd match minute, LURAFA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Roberto Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. Zé Roberto Nóbrega blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dinei Sabóia having to make a save. Alan França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dieguinho Ramos in the 69th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Simão Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot. LURAFA's supporters rose to their feet, but Simão Fantini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dinei Sabóia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zé Roberto Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Sandro de Brito could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Alan França however easily saved by the left post. LURAFA's Simão Fantini got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Zé Roberto Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alan França made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandro de Brito in the 92nd minute. LURAFA walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
