He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 12 minutes into the match, Bocayuval's goal looked a bit too open when Cícero Meirelles came free, but Túlio Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Atlético MS's Angelo Magalhães nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Túlio Castro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. With a little luck, Atlético MS's Cristian Chaves got control of the ball when Rodrigo Koehler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Túlio Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Xavier in the 41st minute of play. Atlético MS's Cristian Chaves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Atlético MS from getting a goal against them. Bocayuval's Abel Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rodrigo Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute Angelo Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Túlio Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bocayuval's Edgard Melo got a free kick in the 70th minute. Rodrigo Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Cristian Chaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Bocayuval had played much better football throughout.
