The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cléber Duarte came out of the goal in the 2nd minute to try and stop a shot by Votuverava's Jardel Proença. But to his dismay, Jardel Proença quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jardel Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Cléber Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Romário Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14thth minute of the game Romário Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Muirapinima FC's Cléber Duarte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jardel Proença in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cléber Duarte saved Muirapinima FC from getting behind. Jardel Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Duarte having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Jardel Proença ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cléber Duarte was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliézer Diniz during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 24 played minutes Votuverava got a freekick which was hit by Eliézer Diniz. In the 27th minute Romário Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléber Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cléber Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romário Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Duarte having to interfere. But to his dismay, Romário Lima quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Cléber Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário Lima in the 40th minute of the match. Cléber Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romário Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Muirapinima FC's zone, Jardel Proença stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cléber Duarte came out of the goal and Jardel Proença tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romário Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Cléber Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Romário Lima made the kick off in the second half. Jardel Proença blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cléber Duarte having to make a save. Cléber Duarte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jardel Proença in the 57th minute. Cléber Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romário Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 62 minutes into the match, Votuverava's goal looked a bit too open when Cleiton Galvão came free, but André Luiz Urbano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliézer Diniz kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Edgard de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Luiz Urbano having to interfere. When Muirapinima FC's Cleiton Galvão in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Votuverava's goalie prevented a goal. Cléber Duarte was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Romário Lima capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Romário Lima really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. A collision led to Muirapinima FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Durval da Costa hit a great ball. If Jardel Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário Lima in the 96th minute of play forced Muirapinima FC's goalkeeper Cléber Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Votuverava left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Muirapinima FC.
