Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Romário Lima kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute Romário Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrianinho Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes Sartubin got a freekick which was hit by Denílson Paulista. After a defensive mix-up in Sartubin's zone, Jardel Proença stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrianinho Ribeiro came out of the goal and Jardel Proença tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jardel Proença could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Adrianinho Ribeiro made a huge save. Adrianinho Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário Lima in the 25th minute of the match. Sartubin's Adrianinho Ribeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Sartubin from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Jardel Proença could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Adrianinho Ribeiro however easily saved by the left post. When Dorian Figueiredo fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sartubin's protests and gave Dorian Figueiredo a yellow card for diving instead. After 36 played minutes Sartubin got a freekick which was hit by Dorian Figueiredo. If Paulo Renato Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dedê Coelho's late challenge caught a Sartubin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dedê Coelho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th match minute, Votuverava was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê Coelho to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the match, Votuverava's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Renato Lago came free, but André Luiz Urbano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sartubin's Adrianinho Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Lima in the 43rd minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Votuverava:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sartubin:s goal. The referee gave Sartubin a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Wanderson Matos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Votuverava's André Luiz Urbano. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilberto Cavalcante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Romário Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sartubin's Adrianinho Ribeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 54 minutes, Leonel Moraes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Votuverava and the Sartubin players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wanderson Matos walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Votuverava's André Luiz Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Cavalcante in the 57th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Ramón Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Votuverava's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramón Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrianinho Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Votuverava's Jardel Proença got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
