The audience was convinced that Eusébio Mendonça's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rômulo Prado was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Gavioes Guarulhos E.C.'s Rômulo Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Mendonça in the 13th minute of play. If Rodrigo Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gláuber Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Toninho Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rômulo Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Mendonça in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Gavioes Guarulhos E.C. getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Iuri Arce hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Iuri Arce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 25 minutes, Eusébio Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beirao SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Beirao SS's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Fernandez came free, but Toninho Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rômulo Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Gavioes Guarulhos E.C.'s Gláuber Martins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toninho Cerezo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gláuber Martins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Toninho Cerezo made a huge save. If Eusébio Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toninho Cerezo came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Gavioes Guarulhos E.C.'s Gláuber Martins. But to his dismay, Gláuber Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eusébio Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Marcos Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Gavioes Guarulhos E.C. booed when Beirao SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeferson Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toninho Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The supporters of Gavioes Guarulhos E.C. booed when Beirao SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Pedro Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toninho Cerezo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Fernandez in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Gavioes Guarulhos E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Mendonça came free, but Rômulo Prado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Beirao SS's Váldson Siqueira got a free kick in the 74th minute. Rômulo Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Mendonça in the 81st minute of the match. Rômulo Prado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusébio Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Rômulo Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Mendonça in the 85th minute of play. Eusébio Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Rômulo Prado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beirao SS. Eusébio Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Beirao SS were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Gavioes Guarulhos E.C. to leave the ground with a draw.
