Pirilampo FC's Oscar Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Paranaense in the 18th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, João Adolfo Soares notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Remansu FC's Edmundo Saraiva. Edmundo Saraiva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nico Sá in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edmundo Saraiva saved Remansu FC from getting behind. Dorival Medeiros hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Edmundo Saraiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Sanches in the 29th minute of play. Pirilampo FC's Pedro Luiz Sanches got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nico Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Edmundo Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Otávio Dante during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 35 played minutes Pirilampo FC got a freekick which was hit by Otávio Dante. After having played for 43 minutes, Arnaldo Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Remansu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnaldo Paranaense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernando Quirino hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. José Paulo Andrade was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 46th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Luiz Sanches to make the kick off. Edmundo Saraiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luiz Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the game, Armando Mazza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Oscar Carioca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After recieving a nice pass, Pirilampo FC's José Paulo Andrade tried to score from far away in the 63rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Dorival Medeiros hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Oscar Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Mazza in the 68th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, João Adolfo Soares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pirilampo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Remansu FC the free kick. If Armando Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. A collision led to Remansu FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Gino Brodel hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the game, Pedro Luiz Sanches was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pirilampo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Remansu FC the free kick. In the 89thth minute of the game Arnaldo Paranaense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pirilampo FC's Oscar Carioca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Pirilampo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Paranaense came free, but Oscar Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Otávio Dante was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. After 93 played minutes Pirilampo FC got a freekick which was hit by Otávio Dante. Oscar Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorival Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Arnaldo Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
