After a defensive mix-up in Coelho E.C.'s zone, Clóvis de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renatinho Godoi came out of the goal and Clóvis de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute, Wanderson Tasso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Renatinho Godoi didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 66th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. Toninho Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wanderson Tasso in the 70th minute of the match. If Clóvis de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arí Loureiro during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wanderson Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Cerezo having to interfere. When the match was over Beirao SS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Coelho E.C. throughout the match.
