Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 9th minute, Durval Rezende made a precise shot to the right of Samuca Velasco. Tabajara FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to Coelho E.C. getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Arí Loureiro hit a great ball. In the 18th minute Wanderson Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuca Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute Claudinei Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuca Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Renatinho Godoi made a huge save. In the 27th minute, Tabajara FC's Afonso Salles ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Renatinho Godoi. Renatinho Godoi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Renatinho Godoi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Renatinho Godoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alex dos Santos in the 34th minute. Alex dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renatinho Godoi having to interfere. Renatinho Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Carlos Alberto de Castro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coelho E.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Claudinei Aparecido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Aparecido in the 47th minute of play forced Tabajara FC's goalkeeper Samuca Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Tabajara FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Coelho E.C. were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alex dos Santos to make the kick off. Coelho E.C.'s Renatinho Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex dos Santos in the 55th minute of play. Renatinho Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex dos Santos in the 63rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tabajara FC's zone, Wanderson Tasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuca Velasco came out of the goal and Wanderson Tasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Coelho E.C.'s Wanderson Tasso got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 92 minutes into the match, Coelho E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alex dos Santos came free, but Renatinho Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Coelho E.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
