Kaká Queiroz spun around in front of the goal 9 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Calamar's goal. Kaká Queiroz struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Aírton Viana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Sport Club. Luiz Fernando Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Calamar's Aírton Viana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Calamar from getting a goal against them. In the 26th minute Marcelo Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aírton Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aírton Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká Queiroz in the 78th minute of the match. Basílio de Lima was slow to take the kick. During this time Real Sport Club's players had a chance to rest. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Real Sport Club had won after a very even match.
