Spectators: 7386 (Terracing: 5541, Seating: 1698, VIP seats: 147) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Zé Augusto Silva kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Pote's Waldemar Ferraz got a free kick in the 3rd minute. With a little luck, Pote's Faustão Mesquita got control of the ball when Osmar Salles tried to sneak it across the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, Balseiro's Artur Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Faustão Mesquita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Faustão Mesquita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osmar Salles went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 14th minute, Vinícius Guedes made a precise shot to the right of Faustão Mesquita. Pote's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. A collision led to Pote getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ramiro de Queirós hit a great ball. In the 19th match minute, Balseiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. Faustão Mesquita was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Osmar Salles showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 26 minute of play. Osmar Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustão Mesquita having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Luiz Guilherme Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Mandrak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Pote's Luiz Guilherme Rocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgar Mandrak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Osmar Salles made a precise shot to the right of Faustão Mesquita. Pote's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. After 44 played minutes Balseiro got a freekick which was hit by Artur Souza. Edgar Mandrak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osmar Salles was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Giovanni Paraense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Artur Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Osmar Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Faustão Mesquita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osmar Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osmar Salles struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Faustão Mesquita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balseiro. Giovanni Paraense hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the game, Luiz Guilherme Rocha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Edgar Mandrak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zé Augusto Silva struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Edgar Mandrak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pote. Edgar Mandrak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wanderson Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Artur Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Faustão Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Souza in the 96th minute of play. Balseiro walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
