Spectators: 6250 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nando Luz started the match with the kick off. Daniel Terra charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Terra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Aristeu getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Daniel Terra hit a great ball. Ivo Alcântara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osmar Salles's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Luís Fábio Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute Osmar Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 played minutes Aristeu got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Maia. When Edgar Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Balseiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Osmar Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balseiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Osmar Salles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivo Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Luís Fábio Terra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivo Alcântara was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. If Luís Fábio Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Osmar Salles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jorge Vianna kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Ivo Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osmar Salles in the 44th minute of the match. When Daniel Terra came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Aristeu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Terra couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 54th match minute, Aristeu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Vianna to maneuver through the defense. Ivo Alcântara acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 55th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Edgar Figueiredo. In the 56th match minute, Aristeu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Maia to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osmar Salles got free with Ivo Alcântara in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 60 minutes into the game, Luís Fábio Terra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ivo Alcântara. Luís Fábio Terra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Osmar Salles took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivo Alcântara. Ivo Alcântara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 69th minute, Aristeu's Rodolfo Maia seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rodolfo Maia the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Aristeu protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rodolfo Maia had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 69th minute, one of Aristeu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Aristeu. Ivo Alcântara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osmar Salles went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. 80 minutes into the game, Júlio Alves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aristeu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balseiro the free kick. Júlio Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Daniel Terra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Edgar Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artur Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Balseiro's Luís Fábio Terra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivo Alcântara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 88th play minute Osmar Salles came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ivo Alcântara. 0-5.
