David Ferreira's late challenge caught a F.C Renegades's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alessandro Marquez didn't quite understand what happened when in the 8 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After 13 minutes, Guilherme Alagoano made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Muriaé FC's João de Godoi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as F.C Renegades's Guilherme Alagoano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of João de Godoi. That made the score 2-0 after 16 minutes of play. Rodrigo Perez scored 2-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tony Guimarães, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st play minute David Mendes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised João de Godoi. 3-1. After a rather tough play, Muriaé FC's David Ferreira got a free kick in the 34th minute. Guilherme Alagoano struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. João de Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C Renegades. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guilherme Alagoano was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Manfredo Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Muriaé FC's zone, Guilherme Alagoano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João de Godoi came out of the goal and Guilherme Alagoano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Manfredo Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C Renegades's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manfredo Mesquita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodrigo Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Tony Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, David Mendes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C Renegades fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. If Guilherme Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Flávio Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute of the match Fernando Paraibano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but João de Godoi skillfully saved the ball. When the referee ended the match the F.C Renegades players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
