Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arthur Capixaba started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes of play, Sorriso Esporte Clube's Giovanni Marques made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynaldo de Queirós was left in no man's land by his defense there! Silvinho de Toledo stood somewhat misplaced when Jaime Rodrigues came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 7 minute. Geovanni Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Jango FC's Reynaldo de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanni Marques in the 12th minute of play. Jaime Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Silvinho de Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jango FC. Silvinho de Toledo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rodrigo da Rocha. Jango FC were furious when Rodrigo da Rocha was red carded, 27 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Anderson Aguiar missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 29 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Reynaldo de Queirós right hand side. In the 32nd minute, Nicolas Quintal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sorriso Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 36th minute, Sorriso Esporte Clube's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sílvio Luís Guimarães fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Geovanni Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. If Romeu Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Silvinho de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durval Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur Capixaba in the 59th minute of play forced Jango FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Sorriso Esporte Clube's Sebastião Cardoso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reynaldo de Queirós. That made the score 2-4 after 68 minutes of play. Reynaldo de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastião Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Jango FC defense, Sebastião Cardoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reynaldo de Queirós. The Jango FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynaldo de Queirós should have stopped the shot. 79 minutes into the match, Jango FC's Romeu Antunes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvinho de Toledo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sorriso Esporte Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jaime Rodrigues was slow to take the kick. During this time Jango FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 85th minute, Romeu Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durval Lago in the 88th minute of play forced Sorriso Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Silvinho de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Jango FC's Jaime Rodrigues to fire away a dangerous shot which Silvinho de Toledo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Giovanni Marques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Reynaldo de Queirós made a huge save. The Sorriso Esporte Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sorriso Esporte Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
