Alfredo Alves was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Anderson Aguiar. Giovanni Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Alfredo Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Arraias FC's zone, Arthur Capixaba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Alves came out of the goal and Arthur Capixaba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giovanni Marques struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Alfredo Alves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sorriso Esporte Clube. 17 minutes into the game, Giovanni Marques cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Alfredo Alves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Sorriso Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Giovanni Marques hit a great ball. In the 24th minute Wesley Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvinho de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Ruy Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felippe da Cunha during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 34 played minutes Arraias FC got a freekick which was hit by Felippe da Cunha. Giovanni Marques took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredo Alves. Alfredo Alves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Arthur Capixaba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sorriso Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Arthur Capixaba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Alves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute, Matías Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 played minutes, Sorriso Esporte Clube's Luiz Eduardo Baptista shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alfredo Alves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sorriso Esporte Clube reached it. After having played for 48 minutes, Arthur Capixaba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sorriso Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arthur Capixaba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Wesley Terra made the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovanni Marques in the 55th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Giovanni Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 63 minutes into the game, when Vágner Leão put in a rough tackle. In the 62nd minute, one of Arraias FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Arraias FC. In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Sorriso Esporte Clube. Luiz Eduardo Baptista stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alfredo Alves. 3-0. Arraias FC's Alfredo Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur Capixaba in the 69th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arthur Capixaba in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Alves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giovanni Marques in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Alves saved Arraias FC from getting behind. Alfredo Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Capixaba in the 74th minute of the match. After 74 played minutes Arraias FC got a freekick which was hit by Matías Travassos. Arraias FC's Alfredo Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur Capixaba in the 75th minute of play. Alfredo Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Quintal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giovanni Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Alfredo Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matías Travassos charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matías Travassos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th minute, Matías Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giovanni Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Nicolas Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sorriso Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Quintal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Alves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovanni Marques in the 94th minute of play forced Arraias FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giovanni Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Alves having to interfere. A collision led to Arraias FC getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Duarte Mendonça hit a great ball.
