Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Arlindo Pires got the match started through his kick off. Marquinhos Damião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marquinhos Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cacá Paes came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Rio Branco E.C.'s Vitinho Pimenta. But to his dismay, Vitinho Pimenta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Black Lotus booed when Rio Branco E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardinho Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 18 minutes, João Paulo Hermes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rio Branco E.C. and the Black Lotus players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Black Lotus booed when Rio Branco E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Paulo Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nilton Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arlindo Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arlindo Pires in the 26th minute of play forced Rio Branco E.C.'s goalkeeper Nilton Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Rio Branco E.C.'s Nilton Barreto got control of the ball when Marquinhos Damião tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th match minute, Rio Branco E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Hermes to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vitinho Pimenta in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cacá Paes saved Black Lotus from getting behind. Marquinhos Damião could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Nilton Barreto made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Rio Branco E.C.'s João Paulo Hermes got a free kick in the 36th minute. After having played for 38 minutes, Marquinhos Damião managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Black Lotus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marquinhos Damião was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marquinhos Damião succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 41st playminute. The supporters of Rio Branco E.C. booed when Black Lotus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betão Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 49th minute Arlindo Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilton Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

53 minutes into the game, Matheus Moreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rio Branco E.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Black Lotus the free kick. Matheus Moreira hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Arlindo Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Nilton Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 minutes, Luan de Carvalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Black Lotus and the Rio Branco E.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Black Lotus fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! In the 70th match minute, Rio Branco E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonsinho Amorim to maneuver through the defense. If Marquinhos Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Rio Branco E.C.'s Vitinho Pimenta got a free kick in the 79th minute. Vitinho Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Paes having to interfere. Nilton Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arlindo Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nilton Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquinhos Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Arlindo Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vitinho Pimenta might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cacá Paes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vitinho Pimenta ran back to his position shaking his head. João Paulo Hermes kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Márcio Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Nilton Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
