After a rather tough play, Rio Branco E.C.'s Afonsinho Amorim got a free kick in the 6th minute. Jaime Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Nilton Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Rodrigues in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nilton Barreto saved Rio Branco E.C. from getting behind. When Jango FC's Jaime Rodrigues in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rio Branco E.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Romeu Antunes struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Nilton Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jango FC. Rio Branco E.C.'s Nilton Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeu Antunes in the 26th minute of play. Nilton Barreto came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Jango FC's Jaime Rodrigues. But to his dismay, Jaime Rodrigues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Rodrigues in the 32nd minute of play forced Rio Branco E.C.'s goalkeeper Nilton Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Jango FC fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Jango FC's Jaime Rodrigues looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 39 minutes, Jaime Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jango FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jango FC's Jaime Rodrigues in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rio Branco E.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 44th minute, Durval Lago left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jango FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Rio Branco E.C.'s Nilton Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Rodrigues in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Rodrigues to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Jaime Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jango FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Rodrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilton Barreto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Durval Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nilton Barreto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Rodrigues in the 57th minute. The nice shot from Jaime Rodrigues in the 59thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Nilton Barreto had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Nilton Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Rodrigues in the 63rd minute of the match. Jaime Rodrigues's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Nilton Barreto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Jaime Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 played minutes Rio Branco E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Afonsinho Amorim. If Jaime Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nilton Barreto came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Jango FC's Amílton Araújo. But to his dismay, Amílton Araújo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After 78 played minutes, Jango FC's Rodrigo da Rocha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nilton Barreto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jango FC reached it. The supporters of Jango FC booed when Rio Branco E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Paulo Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute Romeu Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilton Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81stth minute of the game Jaime Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rio Branco E.C.'s Nilton Barreto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute, Durval Lago fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nilton Barreto, passed just outside the right post. 87 minutes into the game, Rio Branco E.C.'s João Paulo Hermes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reynaldo de Queirós made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. In the 90thth minute of the game Jaime Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rio Branco E.C.'s Nilton Barreto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jaime Rodrigues in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nilton Barreto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the final whistle sounded Jango FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rio Branco E.C..
