After a rather tough play, Lokomotiv Football Art's Cesinha Garcia got a free kick in the 12th minute. Hílton Dionísio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 13th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Zézinho Marquez made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Zé Carlos Perez sent off a good shot on target. If Frank Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. Frank Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zézinho Marquez having to interfere. When Augusto Soeiro came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Lokomotiv Football Art fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Soeiro couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Zé Carlos Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riachaozinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Carlos Perez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zézinho Marquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute Gonçalo Schmidt suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Cesinha Garcia charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cesinha Garcia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Riachaozinho booed when Lokomotiv Football Art was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesinha Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Riachaozinho's Hílton Dionísio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Zé Carlos Perezs short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Zézinho Marquez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 43 minutes into the match, Riachaozinho's Frank Mendes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zézinho Marquez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 43 played minutes Lokomotiv Football Art got a freekick which was hit by Duarte de Brito. Noel Maranhense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Marcelo Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Carlos Perez made a kick off. Zé Carlos Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Zézinho Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Noel Maranhense recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcelo Arósio. Noel Maranhense showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Augusto Soeiro struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Marcelo Arósio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lokomotiv Football Art. In the 69th minute, Noel Maranhense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Zé Carlos Perez came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Riachaozinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Carlos Perez couldn't finish the play. After 79 played minutes Lokomotiv Football Art got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Quadros. Zé Carlos Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. The Lokomotiv Football Art fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zézinho Marquez should have stopped the shot. Frank Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lokomotiv Football Art were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Riachaozinho's much stronger midfield.
