Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tomás Quintal started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Viana in the 4th minute of play forced Atlético São Jorge's goalkeeper Léo Paes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A well placed Tomás Quintal short distance shot in the 5th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. If Tomás Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Atlético São Jorge's Doni Trevisan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Doni Trevisan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Atlético São Jorge protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Doni Trevisan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 19th minute, one of Atlético São Jorge:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atlético São Jorge. The referee gave Gigoul FC a penalty, 22 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Agnaldo Vale, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlético São Jorge's Léo Paes. 1-1. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Cauã Valle took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Dalmo Mandrak to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Gigoul FC's zone, Tomás Quintal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmo Mandrak came out of the goal and Tomás Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dalmo Mandrak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Quintal's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. If Cauã Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Juvenal Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Dalmo Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético São Jorge's Tomás Quintal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dalmo Mandrak. That made the score 3-1 after 48 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Juvenal Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Dalmo Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Atlético São Jorge's Cauã Valle got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Alfredo Viana hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Tomás Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Mandrak having to interfere. When Caco Albuquerque fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gigoul FC's protests and gave Caco Albuquerque a yellow card for diving instead. After 73 played minutes Gigoul FC got a freekick which was hit by Caco Albuquerque. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético São Jorge's zone, Didi Hoffmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Léo Paes came out of the goal and Didi Hoffmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dalmo Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Quintal in the 86th minute of play. Dalmo Mandrak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomás Quintal in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dalmo Mandrak saved Gigoul FC from getting behind. Cauã Valle might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dalmo Mandrak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cauã Valle ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomás Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th minute, Gigoul FC's Alfredo Viana dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gigoul FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Atlético São Jorge.
