After a defensive mix-up in RafaelAndersonWagner FC's zone, Célio Paes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernani Saldanha came out of the goal and Célio Paes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute, Romeu Garcia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erik Vergílio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Serra Talhada FC's Célio Paes got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ernani Saldanha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Célio Paes in the 29th minute. Célio Paes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Serra Talhada FC defense, Romeu Garcia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erik Vergílio. The Serra Talhada FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erik Vergílio should have stopped the shot. Serra Talhada FC's Arnaldo Valladares got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Erik Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Maria Severo in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Célio Paes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Serra Talhada FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 59th minute José Maria Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Vergílio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeu Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo José Secco hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute, Tiago Gabriel Reis sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and RafaelAndersonWagner FC's Ernani Saldanha didn't even have to move. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romeu Garcia got free with Erik Vergílio in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 75 minutes into the match, Serra Talhada FC's goalkeeper Erik Vergílio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romeu Garcia. José Maria Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Erik Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeu Garcia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erik Vergílio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Romeu Garcias short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Erik Vergílio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Romeu Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Serra Talhada FC's goalkeeper Erik Vergílio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chiquinho Rosado. In the 91st minute, Chiquinho Rosado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 96 minutes into the game, Natã Arce was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Serra Talhada FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RafaelAndersonWagner FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Serra Talhada FC's Natã Arce got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the match was over RafaelAndersonWagner FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Serra Talhada FC throughout the match.
