Wanderson Alvarenga, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 33 minutes, Marcelo Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cronos E.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Valadares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adriano Gerber charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adriano Gerber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jaime Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luan Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastião Valladares, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Thiagueira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Valadares came free, but Ramiro Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Luan Arce made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Fernando Santos sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute, Luizinho Camargo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastião Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luan Arce having to interfere. After 66 played minutes Cronos E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Camargo. The supporters of Thiagueira FC booed when Cronos E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jânio Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Thiagueira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Valadares came free, but Ramiro Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ramiro Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramiro Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Valadares in the 82nd minute of play. Thiagueira FC's Fernando Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sebastião Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Thiagueira FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
